Where do I start?

Diving blindly into someone’s website is like going to a stranger’s home for the first time. It is an intimate and awkward process, and left to your devices you are forced to poke your head through the doors, unsure exactly where things are. Fret not, this is the very purpose of this whole page. Consider this a home tour.

The best way to think about the content in this website is dividing my primary interests in three separate streams and dedicating a whole page to each of them as follows.

“Blog”

Pablo the Reader

I have had my head buried in books since I learned how to read (a very good testament to this is my terrible eyesight). I have never had people in my life to nerd out about books and after many years of solitary enjoyment I discovered BookTube, and just like that I was hooked.

After years of building up the courage I started a channel of my own and was introduced to a fantastic community that shared my passion for the written word. Hence, the purpose of the “Blog” is to compile all of my bookish thoughts and share all things reader and reviewer related with the world.

“PabMed”

Pablo the Medic

The process of getting into medical school is arduous, soul-sucking and objectively hard. Staying in medical school is perhaps even harder. As such, after three years I have had numerous people ask for help and advice, and there is nothing more rewarding than seeing someone getting into medical school because of the counsel you offered.

The one thing I wish would have been different in my application is having some help, and that is the reason why I created my PabMed channel. Think of this page as a complement to that and a repository for all my medical content, from educational posts to chronicling my medical journey.

“The Writing Corner”

Pablo the Author

I push back against anyone that says you are only an author when you are published and successful. I would argue that the labels “aspiring” or “published” are just descriptors of the stage of your writing journey, and can be omitted altogether.

In “The Writing Corner” blog, I explore ideas and aspects of the writing craft as someone that is truly passionate about it. From scattered thoughts to updates on my many projects, meta-analyses of my writing process, tools I use and anything remotely related to putting pen to paper (or fingers to keyboard because we live in the 21st century and frankly that expression is a bit archaic).
